How Co-op Works
Clean The Library supports multiplayer on Roblox public and private servers. Multiple players share the same library instance, sorting books toward common completion milestones. Progress typically counts per account for badges, but shared world state means coordinated shelving accelerates everyone when teams communicate section codes and hub pile discipline.
Players join via Roblox server browser or friend invites. Mixed platforms common—PC, mobile, console controller in one session. Controls differ per platform—see controls overview—but section codes and magic roles translate universally.
Developers Retro Library and StarMarine designed co-op as core experience, not solo-only with optional multiplayer. Inspired by social sorting in Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library community play.
Etiquette & Best Practices
Use one hub pile—do not scatter unsorted books across wings. Call magic casts: "Sorting hub" before firing Sort to prevent cooldown waste. Do not intentionally misfile or block aisles—griefing hurts shared completion.
Keys are account-bound—each player collects personal Crimson Octagon, Golden Diamond, Azure Star, Emerald Club. Do not expect others to "share" key buffs.

Team Size & Scaling
Solo viable but slower. Two players: one Sort specialist, one courier with carry keys. Three players: add Insight auditor. Four players: split floors after second floor unlock—two on 1A–1N audit, two on 2A–2Q push.
Public server churn means quick role assignment on join—introduce hub location verbally within thirty seconds.
Voice chat recommended not required. Text section codes if voice unavailable.
